Did you know that dogs have 3 eyelids? The third eyelid sweeps back and forth across the surface of the eye providing protection and spreading the tear film. The third eyelid is attached to the bass of the eye where it is not normally visible.
Tip of the Month – Crate Training
We always introduce our puppies to a crate before they go to their new homes, but they are not fully crate trained. Each family needs to establish a routine once they get their puppy. Create a positive association with the crate. Make the crate inviting by putting treats, soft blankets or the puppy’s favorite toy inside. You can even serve the puppy’s food inside the crate! Praise and reward them when they go inside. Dogs are den animals, so they like having their own personal enclosed space!
